Protection of marine life, Sea otters

Description

Now part of Defenders of Wildlife. Friends of the Sea Otter was an advocacy group working with state and federal agencies to maintain protection for sea otters and to increase and broaden preservation efforts. FSO also served to educate the public at large about the otters' unique behaviour and habitat. In 2020 they merged with Defenders of Wildlife who continue the work to protect and restore the sea otter populations along the Pacific coast.
