Coral reef restoration, Coral reef protection

Reef Renewal Curacao was set up in 2015, following the success of Reef Renewal Foundation Bonaire, an island very close to Curacao. An initiative of Ocean Encounters and supported by Reef Renewal Foundation International amongst others, to date, RRC has out planted over 9000 corals back to Curacao’s reefs. The principal goals are 'the restoration of the shallow water reef system, educating the community and protecting and preserving Curacao's natural ecosystems'
