OCTO runs a number of programmes with the intention of connecting ocean professionals to the knowledge and networks they need, in order to ‘empower conservationists and resource managers to apply best practices worldwide’. The programmes include: Octo Webinars - helping ocean professional stay current on research and tools; MPA help - informing the management of MPAs; EBM Help - answering questions on ocean management and protection; Ocean Plastic list - sharing knowledge for fighting ocean plastic; and Siphonphore – making global communcations easier. Over 100,000 ocean professionals in 120 countries use OCTO programs each year.
