Description

The Cetacea Foundation is committed to protect the marine ecosystem, especially the Adriatic sea, through activities of education and conservation. It uses the valuable contribution of biologists, veterinarians, scientists and volunteers. It is active in the rescue of animals in need, especially sea turtles and cetaceans, with an important rescue center for marine turtles in the Adriatic. In addition the foundation works to educate students and collaborates with public institutions and associations in projects regarding education for sustainable living, respect and preservation of the marine environment. The foundation has carried out research mainly on large marine vertebrates (cetaceans, turtles and sharks), in association with research institutes.

Scubavox is a non-profit initiative with a focus on scuba diving and on marine conservation worldwide. The website includes a global database of marine conservation organizations and groups involved in the protection of the marine environment, and a blog on scuba diving and conservation-related themes.
