Description

ORKA works to develop and protect Oregon's kelp forests. Through ORKA and its partners, an innovative plan is underway to protect and restore targeted areas. ORKA’s approach is ' to understand and possibly mitigate a potential kelp collapse', by engaging science, recreation, tourism and economic opportunities for coastal communities. The problem of sea urchins which destroy the kelp is a particular target for the group.
