Description

Ocean Conservancy is a non-profit environmental advocacy group based in Washington, D.C., United States. One of the leading advocacy groups working to protect marine habitats, the organization helps formulate ocean policy at the federal and state government levels based on peer reviewed science. Serves to protect ocean ecosystems and conserve the global abundance and diversity of marine wildlife through science-based advocacy, research, and public education. Part of the 'Fighting for Trash Free Seas' campaign, International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) is one of their many initiatives, as is Clean Swell (a trash collection mobile app). To encourage cleanups around the globe, they provide various 'how to' information on their website.
