With over 15 years of experience in marine research, education and outreach and six years on the island of Eleuthera, CORE is at the forefront of community education and capacity building in north Eleuthera. Their mission is to involve Bahamian students and communities in the research process which is aimed at understanding of ecologically sensitive habitats that ultimately promotes the conservation of biodiversity. Their education programs promote the ecological significance and consequent conservation value of both marine and terrestrial ecosystems. Current projects include marine pollution, impact of acidification, shark monitoring, amongst others.
