OceaSciences

The Oceasciences association is conducting the ExploraGyre project, a one-year scientific adventure with an ecological vocation, aboard a sailboat. Volunteer participant in Oceaneye’s citizen science project whereby sailors travelling around the world collect water samples, which Oceaneye then studies and maps, in order to raise awareness about marine microplastic pollution worldwide. Oceaneye's open source data is shared with international bodies for policy- and decision making: the European Commission, UNEP, G20 and IUCN.
