Description

The Sierra Club is a significant American environmental group with a marine campaign; 'the most enduring and influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States. We amplify the power of our 3.5+ million members and supporters to defend everyone's right to a healthy world.' Their Marine Team is a Grassroots Network National Issue Team, authorized to act on behalf of the Sierra Club on issues that typically involve federal legislation, rules, or proposed actions by federal agencies affecting more than one Chapter. The Team has the following four campaign areas, each of which has its own Grassroots Network Team under the direction of the Marine Team Core Team: Marine Wildlife and Habitat, Marine Protected Areas, Marine and Coastal Ecosystems Conservation, Fisheries Management
